MITRE HOUSE
BRIGHTON
Britannia Study Hotel, a new state-of the-art student residence in Brighton, Commissioned and managed by Britannia Student Services, London’s leading student accommodation agency, the building has been redeveloped and fitted to the highest specifications.
The accommodation features 134 ultra-modern bedrooms, “hubs” (kitchens/lounges) on every floor and a private café area for students and their guests.
Hubs, which are furnished with sofas, dining tables and chairs, include flat screen TVs and fully equipped kitchens, so students can move in and immediately feel at home.
All en-suite bedrooms have tiled bathrooms, walnut effect furniture with double beds, laptop safe, window blinds and small refrigerator.
Reed M&E installed all of the (MEP) mechanical, electrical & public health services under a design and build (JCT) contract. The 134 bed hotel was fitted out over a twelve month contract, which included the detailed designing period. By the nature of the low ceilings on the pre-cast concrete beam and block structure, space planning for the (M&E) services became a real challenge.
